David Estrada

I am David Estrada Orue from Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Proud of my heritage, I enjoy serving the Latino community through journalism.

After finishing high school back home, I received a scholarship that allowed me to go to college at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. My passion for journalism pushed me to challenge myself and apply to the Missouri School of Journalism, where I earned a master's degree in journalism.

 

In the newsroom, I value the opportunity to learn from everybody around me and to be challenged by others to try new things, every day. In my reporting, I enjoy engaging with the community, listening to their experiences and making every effort to empower people.
